🌸 Wealthy Wednesday: The Wealth of Savoring 🌸
When Abundance Is Meant to Be Tasted
Beautiful Soul,
This past weekend, I spent some beautiful time in Napa Valley with my partner, Anatoly.
There was Napa Valley sunshine, a few laps in the pool, soaking in the hot tub, delicious food, beautiful wine, and simply enjoying quality time together.
I also got to do something I love—cook.
I made garlic roasted crab, garlic noodles, and one of my favorite comfort foods, chicken adobo. There is something deeply nurturing to me about preparing a meal, filling a table with food, and sharing it with someone I love.
We also enjoyed beautiful wines, including one of the Best of Tre Bicchieri tastings — Valdo Valdobbiadene Numero 10.
And somewhere between the garlic roasted crab, garlic noodles, chicken adobo, our wine tasting, and soaking in the hot tub, I was reminded of something…
This, too, is wealth.
We Can Become So Focused on Creating More That We Forget to Receive What Is Already Here
Many of us have been taught to think of wealth as something waiting for us in the future.
When I make more money…
When my business reaches the next level…
When I have enough saved…
When I finally achieve that goal…
Then I can relax.
Then I can celebrate.
Then I can enjoy my life.
But what if enjoying your life isn't the reward waiting for you at the end of your wealth journey?
What if enjoying your life is part of building wealth?
This weekend reminded me that there is a difference between simply consuming something and truly savoring it.
Consuming says, What's next?
Savoring says, Let me be here. Let me experience this. Let me receive this.
That is a form of wealth consciousness, too.
Your Capacity to Receive Is Part of Your Wealth
We talk a lot about expanding our capacity to receive.
But receiving isn't only about receiving more money.
Can you receive a beautiful meal without rushing through it?
Can you receive someone's love and attention without immediately wondering what you need to give back?
Can you receive pleasure without feeling guilty?
Can you enjoy an afternoon by the pool without thinking about everything you should be doing?
Can you soak in a hot tub, feel the warmth around your body, look at the beauty surrounding you, and simply allow yourself to be there?
For women who have spent years achieving, working, caring for others, giving, and being responsible, receiving can actually be a practice.
Sometimes our nervous systems become so accustomed to doing that simply sitting, tasting, laughing, connecting, resting, and enjoying can feel unfamiliar.
Yet receiving is part of our relationship with abundance.
The Warrior Creates. The Goddess Receives. The Creator Remembers.
This is also where our Wealth Superpowers come alive.
Our Warrior creates the structures that make these experiences possible. She earns, plans, prepares, makes the reservations, buys the groceries, and takes care of the practical details.
Our Goddess allows herself to receive the pleasure—the flavors of the food, the aroma of the wine, the warmth of the sunshine, the water against her skin, the laughter, the connection, and the love.
And our Creator reminds us to see the bigger picture:
Life itself is abundant.
True wealth isn't about choosing between financial responsibility and enjoying your life.
It's about learning to hold both.
We build.
We receive.
We savor.
Wealth Is Also Measured in Moments
Financial wealth matters.
I believe deeply in building savings, investing, creating income, owning our financial power, and developing the structures that allow us to feel secure, supported, and free.
But ultimately, money is meant to support a life.
And sometimes that life looks wonderfully simple.
Napa Valley sunshine.
A few laps in the pool.
A meal lovingly prepared.
Garlic roasted crab and noodles filling the table.
A beautiful glass of wine.
Soaking in a hot tub at the end of the day.
A conversation with someone you love.
A moment when there is nowhere else you need to be.
These experiences may never appear on your financial statement.
But they absolutely belong on your wealth statement.
Your Wealthy Wednesday Practice
Today, instead of immediately asking:
"How can I create more?"
Try asking:
"What abundance is already here that I haven't fully received?"
Look around your life.
Maybe it's the food on your table.
The person sitting across from you.
Your body carrying you through another day.
Your home.
A friendship.
A beautiful morning.
A glass of wine.
A quiet cup of tea.
Or simply having enough space in your day to breathe.
Choose one thing today and savor it intentionally.
Slow down.
Notice it.
Feel it.
Receive it.
And let yourself say:
This, too, is wealth.
Because, Beautiful Soul, we aren't building wealth simply so we can have more.
We are building wealth so we can live more fully, love more deeply, give more generously, and receive the beautiful life that is already happening around us.
This week, may you create abundance.
May you receive abundance.
May you savor abundance.
And most importantly…
May you recognize just how wealthy you already are.
With love and abundance,
Marnelle
